YIN YOGA

Yin Yoga has been practiced for centuries in China and Taiwan as part of the Daoist Yoga/Dao Yin. This practice along with breathing techniques was taught to Kung Fu practitioners 2000 years ago.

Yin Yoga, also known as a restorative yoga is a quiet and simple practice, but not necessarily an easy practice. It works deeply into our body and targets our deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues, ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body more than muscle. And energetically it improves the energy flow/QI through meridian pathways of the body. This in turn improve organ health, immunity and emotional well-being.

Stretches are being hold for long periods at a time (about 2 – 5 minutes per pose) in a very passive way and place appropriate ‘stress’ on the fascia and ligaments to both strengthen and release them. It is famous for lubricating the fascia and allow the soft tissues and organs to slip and slide freely and to stabilize at the level of the joints.

A great addition to fit into your fitness schedule to balance and realign the body as well as to restore it for further higher impact exercises.

Zumba
